HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN

1. Admit that you are a sinner.
   "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
    
2. Realize that if you die in your sins you cannot go to heaven.
   "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
    
3. Turn away from your sins and turn to Christ.
   "Let the wicked forsake his way . . . . let him return to the Lord" (Isaiah 55:7).
    
4. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life.
   "Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me" (Revelation 4:20).

A suggested prayer might be:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, I promise to forsake my sin and ask you to come into my heart and life and take away my sin through your shed blood.  From now on I will follow you all the days of my life."

The Bible assures us that:

"But as many as received Him (Jesus) to them gave He the power to become the children of God, even to those who believe on His Name" (John 1:12).

Make this prayer from your heart. 
Tell others of your decision to become a Christian.
